My card is not working? I have no money on my card?

There could be multiple issues in this case. The most common are the following:

  • Usually the card is not associated with the profile;
  • Student number is incorrect within the system;
  • Shift does not exist in student manager or is wrongly. scheduled.

If there is no money on your card, please check first if you have a shift in Student Manager. If not, ask the PF of your department to schedule a shift for you so you can check in, and then there will be money on your card. If this is not the issue, check if your shift has already started or if you checked in too early before your shift begins. It could be possible that you weren't checked in, and that's the reason you do not have money on your card. If these are not the problems, please visit the HR office, and they can look into the issue and assist you further.

Why is my schedule not visible in my student manager?

The Practical facilitators of the department are responsible for the creation and adjusting of schedules. The schedules should always be ready a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the start of your practical period (except for new intake). Please contact the practical facilitator of the respective department.

I called in sick according to the regulations, but I received a no-show, how can this be rectified?

Students should send an email with proof to student.hrm@nhlstenden.com and it will be fixed according to legitimate proof. If it is determined that the information provided has been altered it can result in a warning.

Who do I have to contact to change my practical period/batch?
Changes in your educational journey should always be discussed with your coach.

As a manager or supervisor, I am unable to access my group of staff members to provide the feedback?
Please contact your HR representative. The department is able to give you access based on your current status as manager or supervisor. HR students can provide every student with access to give feedback. To facilitate this process smoothly, we kindly ask you to send a clear email to student.hrm@nhlstenden.com, stating who you are, your current position in practice, your practice period and who you would like to have access to for giving feedback. By sending a clear email, we can assist you in the best way possible.

I cannot access my final knowledge tests. Who can help me?

If you are unable to access the e-learnings of your department, we kindly suggest sending an email to student.hrm@nhlstenden.com. In your email, please include your identity, student number, the purpose of your email, and specify the relevant department. Providing clear information in your email will enable us to assist you effectively and grant access to the mentioned e-learning department.

Before your practice period starts, you should have completed the e-learnings, and after the practice, the department will recommend you take the final knowledge test. If you do not complete this test with 55% or higher, otherwise, you have failed and will need to do it again. The date for the second chance is indicated on the failed test. If you need to take the test because you have not completed it yet but your practice period was a long time ago, HR needs to open this test for you. We kindly suggest that you send an email to student.hrm@nhlstenden.com. Please mention in this email who you are, your student number, the reason for your email, and the relevant department. By sending a clear email, we can assist you in the best way possible. We will inform you when the test is opened again, and then you can retake it.

Can I still apply for the social responsibility course?

NHLStenden is continuously working on scheduling new dates for the Social Responsibility Course. If you wish to apply, you can do so through Blackboard. In the 'certificates' section, you can enroll yourself in this course. If there are currently no available dates, please wait and keep an eye on the course for enrolment opportunities.

When is the practice division made available?

We cannot commit to a specific date for sending out the final division because each requirement is different. However, our goal is to divide the division into two batches before your practice begins and to send out the final division at least 5 weeks before the start of practice. Nevertheless, we cannot guarantee anything, as it depends on the batch.

I already booked my holiday, but I have practice. What can I do?

We kindly request that you contact the PF (Practice Facilitator) of the department where you are assigned as soon as possible to discuss the possibilities with them. Since it is their department, you can work together to find a solution to make up for these missed days. They are expecting you, so please inform them as soon as possible.

If you are not sure about the location of your practice, please wait for your schedule or the final division information, and then contact the PF. If it involves more than 10 days of vacation and you have not been placed yet, please also reach out to the HR department.

I do not have access to my eLearning.

My Net Pay app is not working.

Did you bring your student card? This card also serves for checking in and making payments for your lunch allowance. If you did not bring your card, try logging in again. If this also does not work, please visit the HR office, and they will try to assist you further.

How do I activate my Net Pay app?

Next to the check-in places, there is a poster displaying a QR code that will lead you to a video. This video guides you step-by-step on how to download and install the NetPay app. However, please always bring your student card in case of internet issues so that you can still use your lunch allowance.

I cannot see my feedback in the student manager.

First, check if you have followed the right steps to view your feedback. Go into your student management account, click on the "Portfolio" tab, and then select the year you are in. Open the department for which you want to see the feedback, and it will display all the assessments. Click on "Professional Competencies"; here, you should be able to view your feedback. If you are still unable to see your feedback, it's possible that it was not uploaded for some reason. We suggest that you contact the person who should have provided you with feedback (the supervisor or manager) and ask if they can upload it. If this is not possible due to the amount of time that has passed since your practice, contact the PF of the department for which you are missing feedback. They can also provide and upload your feedback.

I scheduled a catch-up day, but I cannot be there.

Why did you schedule a catch-up day if you could not be there? Please note that you may have taken the opportunity away from another student to plan their catch-up day on this date. If you are absolutely unable to attend this catch-up day, there is a possibility to unscheduled it. You need to visit the HR office and explain your situation. They are able to assist you in un-scheduling your catch-up day.

I want to schedule a catch-up day, but there are no dates available.

If you want to schedule your catch-up days but cannot do so via Student Manager because there are no available dates, you can contact the concerned department. Send an email to the PF email address of the department regarding your question to schedule catch-up days. They will provide you with the possibilities for catch-up days and can schedule them for you.

My locker will not open; who can help me?

If you forgot the code for your locker or are unable to open it due to entering the code incorrectly, there is always a possibility to still access your belongings. You have to ask the PF of your department, as they have access to assist you and open the locker.
